After completing the Air Force's Aviation Cadet program, I started out flying the KC135, tanker refueling bombers and fighters for the Strategic Air Command. I then joined the nuclear force flying the B58, supersonic bomber and finally the FB111 also a nuclear armed bomber. During the lonbg hours of standing nuclear alert, I started painting. Art had always been a love of my life. Finally after 21 years, I retired from the Air Force and started the exciting career of being a corporate accountant. During these years, I joined an Art Association, became president of the association, presided over a co-op gallery, began showing and selling my art work. I also started doing arts and crafts fairs. I found that I sold many more pieces of my art via the arts and crafts fair circuit, so I'm on the circuit as long as my health will permit. I've won many local and regional awards including one international first place for my oil pastel: Texas Gothic in the 2012 Oil pastel Artist's membership show.
I enjoy the interaction with the public at the arts and crafts fairs.
